Grönhagen – bigger than most seniors

That players are loaned out or sign contracts with senior teams has already been mentioned here at SJH. Here we dive in to the big Stockholm guy who ended up in Småland and continues to grow.

The well-grown (197 cm, 95 kg / 6’6 “, 209 lbs) Grönhagen is playing his last junior season in HV71. After several seasons with really good points in the junior leagues, he has had the chance to play games with HV71’s senior team in the SHL this season and when the junior series were first paused and then ended completely he got to play in Hockeyettan via loan to, first Hammarby IF and then HC Dalen.

He has collected nice 4 points (1 + 3) during his first 3 games played with Dalen. Before that he managed to produce 2+5 in 9 games for Hammarby (most points by a junior ever in the hockeyettan east-division).

Grönhagen is still on a loan from HV71 even though he is in his last season as a junior without a junior league to play in. Where Grönhagen ends up for his next, first, year as a senior is not clear at the time of writing but undeniably he has strengthened his odds of a senior contract so far this season.
